Accident Reconstruction Training and Curriculum Vitae

The MCrash group consists of highly trained and experienced experts that can provide all of your accident reconstruction needs. Together we have thousands of hours of crash reconstruction, Emergency Medical Service, automotive repair and refinish training.

Members of the MCrash Group are located in Cheboygan, Alpena, Bay and Macomb Counties, Michigan as well as Waukesha, Wisconsin, allowing us to easily serve in a cost effective manner. All investigations are reviewed by at least two reconstruction experts, at least one of which is ACTAR accredited.


Charles Beckwith

Charles Beckwith is currently a Deputy Sheriff with the Cheboygan County Sheriff Department. Charles, commonly known as Chuck, has hundreds of hours of traffic crash reconstruction training and works closely with many departments, including Steve Kieliszewski in the central and western areas of northern Michigan. Chuck also teaches crash investigation at Kirtland Community College. Chuck has testified numerous times as a traffic crash reconstruction expert. Dan Billington

Dan is our lead reconstruction expert on "the other side of the pond". Currently employed with Waukesha County Wisconsin Sheriff's Office, Dan is involved in numerous crash investigation and reconstructions annually. With forte in crash animation, Dan is our leading animation expert.


Tim Brown (ACTAR)

Tim Brown began his career as a police officer in 1978. He became interested and received training for accident investigation in 1978 through the Michigan State Police. Since that time he has gained hundreds of hours of training and reconstructed hundreds of crashes. His job history includes holding the position of a Specialist Sergeant with the Michigan State Police, Traffic Services Section. Jerry Hilborn (ACTAR)

Jerry Hilborn has been a member of the Michigan State Police since 1996. He began accident investigation in 1999 and has since accumulated approximately 500 hours of training in Crash Reconstruction. He has testified in Circuit Court as a crash reconstruction expert numerous times. His education includes a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration through Ferris State University, an Associates Degree in Career Aviation through Northwestern Michigan College, a commercial pilot license and instrument rating, single engine airplane land and helicopter instruction at Western Michigan University. Outside interests include vintage motorcycles including an ongoing frame off resurrection of a twenty one year old Harley Davidson. Steven Kieliszewski

Steven Kieliszewski is currently the Sheriff of Alpena County. Steve has hundreds of hours of traffic crash reconstruction training. Henry Miazga

Henry has been and continues to be one of the leading experts in the State of Michigan on boating crashes. Not only has he conducted numerous boat crash investigations, he has also developed and instructed courses on boat crash investigation, including DNR/Conservation Officers. Chris Robbins

Chris Robbins is currently an automotive repair and refinish specialist. Chris has extensive knowledge and college traininig in analyzing and repairing automotive damage, including frames. Chris has assisted police departments in their criminal investigation of traffic crashes and homicides by examining vehicles for structural failure and/or improper repairs. Timothy Robbins (ACTAR)

Tim Robbins has been a police officer since 1995 and an EMT-Paramedic since 1990. He began his accident investigation training in 1999 through the Michigan State Police where he is currently employed as a Traffic Crash Reconstruction Specialist. Since that time he has gained more than 900 hours of traffic crash investigation training, including automotoive electronics and brake systems. Coupled with his paramedic training , equivalent of a two year college program, he is our leading expert in occupant kinematics as well as a traffic crash reconstruction expert. Tim has been involved in over 500 crash investigations and reconstructions and has testified as an expert (both in court and deposition) well over 70 times since 1999.
